The donor car was a (1973) Porsche 914 mid-engined 4 cylinder air cooled 2ltr. of which the engine, transaxle, gearbox, brakes and wheels have been used.

The engine has 103mm barrels, J&E forged pistons with a 71mm throw crankshaft which gives 2366cc.The crankshaft/ flywheel has been lightened and dynamically balanced. The conrods have been balanced end to end and the pistons statically balanced.The Camshaft is a Webcam 86B with new lifters and swivel foot adjusters. The cylinder heads have 44mm inlet and 38mm exhaust stainless steel valves with Engel dual valve springs with chromoly retainers, the compression ratio is 8.5 to 1.

The original bosch fuel injection has been replaced with twin 45mm DRLA Dellorto carbs on BAS short stack manifolds. Cooling is by a Hall Horizontal fan kit with a Porsche 75 amp alternator and a BAS thermo-static oil valve and remote oil cooler.

Ignition is via a Bosch 009 distributor with Lumination electronic ignition.

The gearbox is a Porsche 901 dog-leg 1st with the later type side shifter.

The chassis is a Martin & Walker Technic multi tubular TIG welded chassis with double unequal length wishbones and 2 adjustable coil over shock absorbers at the front. A De Dion tube rear axle located by 4 radius links and a Panhard rod together with 2 adjustable coil over shock absorbers at the rear.

The brakes are Porsche 944 front discs and drum brakes at the rear with an adjustable cockpit mounted bias valve.

The body shell is a two piece glass fibre moulding with separate doors and bonnet and painted in Porsche silver. The cockpit is in the true sprit of a 1955 competition car with minimialist creature comforts, with just two race type bucket seats in burgundy leather, 2 four point race Harness`s, Moto-Lita classic woodrim steering wheel, a rollover bar and drivers helmet fairing.

The overall weight of the car is approximately 650Kgs.
