Club Drive 29 June 2008 - Dave´s Wow Run

Meeting point. Click to view full imageOn Sunday 29 June, the Club met at Los Montesinos for a chat and a coffee before setting off on the first part of the drive through country roads to San Pedro. Then after a short break in the shade at Robertos Restaurant, we continued on via the Rio Seca near Campoamor to the Casa la Pedrera near San Miguel. We got lots of waves and tooting along the way because a lot of the cars were flying the Spanish flag in honour of the European Cup Final that evening!

On arrival at the Casa la Pedrera many members immediately stripped off to enjoy a quick swim before lunch in the beautiful pools and jacuzzi whilst others lounged on the sun terraces. Lunch was an American style BBQ which was perfect for groups of members to sample whilst chatting and mingling on the terraces – the views from the terraces to the lakes and nature areas were outstanding.

After lunch, the fun really began with a large number of members participating the quad biking which was a guided tour around the lakes. Jenni the owner led the groups which ranged from novices to experienced bikers, but from the feedback already received everyone enjoyed it immensely.

Over 50 people came to this event and went away saying that it certainly was a day to remember. The day was organised by Dave Reed and Debbie Brearley as lead members, with support from Sandra and Mel.

More photos of the day are posted on the Image Gallery section of the website and some are well worth looking at!
