10 Pin Bowling Night at Torrevieja 11 February 2009
Club Night Wednesday the 11th of February 2009
After the success of last years bowling night at the Ozone bowling centre in Torrevieja, the members again tried their hand ( or at least three fingers of it ) at knocking the pins down.
With an attendance of 22 players and their supporters, the 6 teams showed their skills at the game, with loud cheers of congratulation for the many strikes made, and shrugs of shoulders for the occasional misses. After 2 games with most of the men scoring more than 200 points, and most of the ladies also giving very good scores, together with some sore fingers and tired arms, the final score was made known.
Dave Patten with a top score of 256 points was the best male contestant, and Christina Aspinal ( without even breaking a nail ) gave a very respectable score of 185 points. Both winners were presented with a well earned prize and a round of applause as the club night came to a happy ending.
Unfortunately the photographer forgot his camera, but we are sure that all who took part will remember their joys and disappointments for a long time to come.
The conclusion of the evening was a 10 out of 10 pin bowling.
