July Club Night
It was a great summer evening with around 20 cars and 40 members in attendance, and what better way to spend it than at the Castle in San Miguel, sat on the terraces overlooking the lake and cooled by summer breezes, it was a night to remember.Members started arriving well before 7.00 and soon a beautiful line of classic cars had arranged themselves in military order as if guarding the Castle.
Their owners soon had drinks, tables in the shade, and socializing, swapping magazines and generally a feeling of let the world go by followed.
A big surprise (for Karl) was a planned birthday party dreamed up by his wife Jan. This was laid out in one of the function rooms with beer and sangria for everybody, followed by the cutting (and eating) of the cake! We think that Karl enjoyed himself so much that Jan had to drive him home.
A big compliment to everybody there… a visitor from the U.K. had never been to or seen a club meeting where everybody including the wives were such a part of the social scene.
The next meeting is on the 12th of August, as well as a Mix and Mingle, we are pleased to have Roger Taylor a garage owner in Los Montesinos, an excellent mechanic and a fellow aficionado with three of his own classics. He will be available to give us advice on problems and mechanical matters.
So please bring your classics along with any questions you may have, and support the club in the hot summer months.
