July Club Breakfast Meeting.
At the risk of being repetitive.DID WE ENJOY IT?, YES WE DID.
One of the nice things about doing the write-up of our Club Events is when I have the pleasure to report an absolutely successful meeting and this was definitely one for the records.
If you enjoyed it then all the credits go to Gill and Shaun, if you didn´t then you can blame me, although I am thick skinned and you are probably hard to please, ( no no, sorry I´m only joking, I must be catching it from Shaun ).
As prearranged we met on time at the Hotel Lo Monte and with only two cancellations and two unexpected turn-ups, set off with thirty eight participants and twenty cars - in convoy - on time to try something new. Normally we have our monthly Club meetings at the Castillo de Conesa in San Miguel de Salinas but this time thanks to some-ones bright idea we had a complete change of plan and venue and speaking for myself I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Both Gill and Shaun had checked out the venue and of course the food and the prices and had reserved the seating, as much as possible in the shade, and also the secure parking of our cars. We arrived without problems as planned and with the exception of one or two slightly delayed servings soon got down to the serous business of enjoying our breakfasts. The atmosphere was friendly, the sun was shining and the company was entertaining. The food was good and plentiful, all in all a very enjoyable morning for everyone and well worth repeating, possibly again in August and possibly at a different venue, ( keep an eye on the website for more news ).
